Soil Pollution
Soil pollution harms the land on which we grow our food.

When harmful chemicals, plastics, and waste are dumped on land and make the soil impure, it is called soil pollution.
Major Causes of Soil Pollution

- Using too many chemical fertilizers and pesticides
- Dumping industrial waste on open land
- Oil leakage and chemicals from factories
Harmful Effects of Soil Pollution
- Soil loses its fertility
- Plants do not grow properly
- Food grown in polluted soil becomes unhealthy
